Track 5 - 9 : Extended family history, Maribyrnong Primary School [original on the corner of Wests Rd & Raleigh St (now Cordite Avenue)]
Track 10 - 15 : Engineering Machining Apprenticeships 1938, school to work transition, Munitions industry RAAF. Apprenticeship duration and shifts 7am to 7pm, 7pm to 7am 6 days per week. on a two week on, two week off roster.
Track 16 - 20 :Daily working life in the making of weapons and each machine shop's tasks.
Track 21 - 25: Daily working life in the making of weapons and each machine shop's tasks. Changing work conditions at the outbreak of war. Treatment by qualified staff towards 1st and 2nd year apprentices.
Trade school and the introduction of 'dilutees'. Dilutees were introduced during the war. Theywere sent to trade school for 6 months then introduced into the factory, replacing the 5 year apprenticeship structure.
Track 26 - 30 : Rotating shift work rosters.
Track 31 - 34 : Attempt at enlisting. Denied due to employment within essential services. Social activities within the workplace.
Track 35 - 40 : Working history. Workplace camararderie.
Track 41 - 45 : Health and safety regulations. Workplace accidents. Clothing issues. Salary levels and trade union involvement. Meal breaks.
Track 46 - 50 : Workplace environment. Reasons for leaving after 6 years in the ordnance factory.
